We will be speaking as part of the?St Andrews School of Classics Research Seminar. The event will take place?at 4.05 pm in Swallowgate 11?on 15th March 2013. Our seminar is entitled: ?The art of making in antiquity: presenting and interpreting?Roman stone carving techniques?.

We will be speaking as part of the King's Department of Classics Seminar Series. The event will take place?at?5.15 pm in B6 (Department of Classics) on 12th March 2013. Ours is entitled: 'The Art of Making in?Antiquity: a Leverhulme-Funded Project on Stone Carving in the Roman World'.

Save the Dates! Upcoming Making Events in 2013

The project team are involved in two making events that will be held at King's College London in the upcoming months. These are part of series on Applied Arts which began in 2012. There is one in February (9th) on clothing and then another on mosaics in March (23rd).

09.02.13: Making Event on Clothing

On Saturday 9th February, some of the project team are organising an event on the making of clothing. Although not concerned explicitly with Classical antiquity there will be significant components addressing the Roman world in particular. The event is funded by the King's College London Arts & Humanities Research Institute and is in collaboration with the Centre for Hellenic Studies. It is part of a series of Applied Art workshops which we were also involved in last year.
