Monuments: Temple of Vespasian

Completed by Domitian in the 80s AD, the Temple of Vespasian and Titus is located at the western end of the Forum Romanum. Three columns and part of the entablature of the monument are standing and have been heavily restored, while a section of the entablature is also visible in the substructures of the 'Tabularium', now part of the Capitoline Museums. The frieze is decorated with bulls' skulls and sacrificial equipment. More
