Marks of the tooth chisel on white marble, for use as a teaching aid.

Notes

These marks are made by a two-toothed tooth chisel. This was a popular tool in the Renaissance, favoured by Michelangelo, who used it as a finishing tool. Usually, however, the tooth chisel is used between the point and the flat chisel.
