Description
The carvers worked around the head of the statue as can be seen from this channel which was big enough to fit a man. This stage of roughing-out took place while it was being quarried.

Notes

There are nearly 400 statues left unfinished in the quarry. These statues are facing different directions. These statues are from the Inner quarry.
