Description
The flat surfaces of this relief were worked with a wide flat chisel or perhaps a flat axe.

Notes

This is a good example of a typical relief sculpture in green schist from the Swat Valley, a region where Gandharan sculpture flourished especially between the 2nd and 4th centuries AD.
